The 21st anniversary of People Power was yesterday, and it went by with little notice, which was much different from the revolution that got it started. Twenty-one years is a long time. The people involved then aged, and younger people are disconnected from it. President Arroyo is doing what she can to build a better Philippines, but even she had to quash a military revolt against her administration a year ago. Original source: Manila Times. President Arroyo has a new jobs plan to benefit all of the Philippines. She is going create the jobs that the Philippines needs and wants so they won't look abroad instead. Dalmacio Gandinao, 39, who was the provincial chairman of Nation First, a leftist sectoral-party at the House of Representatives, was shot to death by five unidentified gunmen late on Thursday.
