Quite expectedly, the two Philippine telecom giants rejected the proposal to provide free SMS service.
Representatives from both companies said that this is an unrealistic proposal because it may clog and crush their networks in about an hour upon implementation, which may result to unavailability of SMS and voice call services in the country.
