Begging?

Because of the current crisis in the country brought about by international factors, power and food prices are on the rise. The government is then compelled to ease this by using both subsidies and long-term planning.

Of course, the groups that have always been critical of the government said that these efforts are useless, saying that the subsidies promote begging as the way of life. Well, I'd like to hear their solution to the problem.

Mum's the Word

Problems can be internal as well as external in relation to a family, house or even a nation. So when Philippines is facing economic crisis and the global scenario isn't very encouraging as well, the best thing would be to forget internal differences and concentrate on dealing with the outside problems. This is exactly what De Venecia had in mind when he spoke about the ZTE-NBN controversy, or rather his refusal to speak on it

De Venecia will only speak after economic crisis has passed

Former House Speaker Jose de Venecia said that he will testify on the $329-million Broadband Network controversy after the present economic crisis passes the country.
