750 displaced workers to be hired by government for rehabilitation projects

Some 750 workers who were displaced by typhoon Frank (international codename: Fenshen) will be the beneficiaries of the emergency employment program of the Department of Labor and Employment.

These workers, who come mainly from the informal sector, will be hired by the government to help clean up the city and reconstructing damaged buildings like schools and hospitals. This will go on until the workers are ready to go back to their past jobs.
