Draft of cybercrime bill near completion

One major problem right now in the Philippines is the lack of a proper law that will protect innocent Internet users from crime doers on the Web.

Thus, I was relieved to find out that a draft of the cybercrime bill will be ready by June. Asked why it took this long, Filipino lawmakers said that this is to conform with the Budapest convention.

It will still be a long way to go before the bill is approved to a law,, but I am hopeful that something good will come out of this.
