Quezon City had a total number of traffic accidents in the metro area with a whopping 17,292, which is a 28.37 percentage share. In the pre-dawn hours of February 15 a six-wheeled truck, which was carrying 125 sacks of corn, overturned in Cotabato City killing nine people and injuring another nine. The driver claimed that the brakes failed and he veered trying to avoid pedestrians.
